The First Dance Song

First know that your dance coach should be able to get you to dance to any song you choose. Some couples just know that 'perfect' song which expresses who they are but haven't a clue how to dance to it. Or, you may not know at all where to start when looking for a song. No worries, that's where I can help.

If you already have a song, then bring that along with you on your first lesson. Together we'll find the right dance that goes with that song. If you like it use it. You can get dance move ideas from watching youtube videos etc, but it's confusing and not always appropriate for your situation – having a professional guide you is more reassuring.

If you don't have a song or know the dance you want to do, then I can walk you through the different styles and help you choose a song that's appropriate. I also have a list of songs others have used in the past.

It's important to allow enough time to learn and then practice together before the wedding. This will make the dancing more fun, graceful and relaxed. I recommend starting at least 3 months (or more depending on what you want to accomplish) prior to the wedding day; or if time is short and you just thought about it, then it's 'never too late' to do something!  Okay..Let's Dance!
