Loveland Chamber holds Ribbon Cutting for Loveland Wedding Professionals

The McCreery House was the beautiful setting for the Loveland Wedding Professionals ribbon cutting held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009.  The ribbon cutting is part of the welcome given to all new members of the Loveland, Colorado Chamber of Commerce.  The affair was enhanced with the release of 50 doves by Emerald Glen Doves. The doves quickly took to the skies and circled the house before finally flying home.

Immediately after the ribbon cutting the Loveland Wedding Professionals (LWP) held their regular monthly meeting and showcased the talents of many of their members.  The natural garden beauty of the McCreery House was enhanced with lilies in pinks, lavenders, burgandies, and whites.  Beth Parker, owner of Earle's Loveland Floral and Gifts, created the floral centerpieces and adorned the wrought iron garden arch.

Linens of white with burgandy overlays graced the tables.  They created a welcoming feeling of warmth and richness of color that blended beautifully with the colors of the McCreery House. The linens were supplied by RC Event Rentals, another new member of LWP.

As the attendees entered the backyard they walked under a delightful booloon arch of white and gold designed and created by Allison Dunning of Merry Makers and Decorators.  The arch was topped by a large balloon with stars and the words just married on it.

Music provided by Solid Sound Entertainment quietly enhanced the mood.  Scott McKinney, owner of Solid Sound, also provided a microphone so that all guests could clearly hear the speakers throughout the evening.

What is a special occasion without food?  And delicious food was indeed provided by Carter's Creative Catering!  A smoked salmon platter, South-Western polenta canape with pepper jack cheese, roasted bell peppers, red onion marmalade and cilantro, and a colorful array of fresh vegetables for dipping in the roasted red pepper and macaddamia nut hummus.  All savory.  The real treat was the curried chidken salad canape with candied coconut, basil, and acai berry glaze on a sesame rice cracker.  Out of this world yummy.  They are also new members of LWP.

The delicious meal was topped by marbelized wedding cake provided by Mary Walsh of Sweet Beginnings.  So nice to have cake that features an ever changing selection of flavor for the palette.

Ming Bao, owner of The Great Frame Up brought along some of her frames to show how a bride and groom can display their wedding portraits or invitations.  The Great Frame Up is a new member of LWP.

The funnest part of the evening for each guest had to be having their picture taken in the Mile High Photo Booth.  Abby Carpentier likened it to the days when her family used to get their pictures taken in photo booths at amusement parks, laughing as she recalled those days.  The traveling photo booth is also a new member of LWP.

Sarah of Sarah Lee Welch Photography and Tom Pehrson of Peak Impact Productions recorded the event.  Their work will be on display as soon as possible.

The Loveland Wedding Professionals would like to thank Manon Weber, of Happy Feet Weddings, and Linda Stotz, of the McCreery House, for putting together the ribbon cutting and showcase.
